Jerked Thanksgiving Turkey!

Almost that time! If the pilgrims had this recipe, it would have been the tradition! Jabberwocky Smooth Jerk 1 Fresh Turkey 2 16 oz. Jars Jabberwocky Smooth Jerk Plantains 1/2 pound Prosciutto 12 green onions cleaned, trimmed slightly 1/2 pound crushed pistachios Cooking twine Have your butcher debone turkey for you. Save the bones to make stock. This can be done the day before. Marinate turkey in 1 jar of Jabberwocky Smooth Jerk sauce, at least 4 hours. Preheat oven to 450. Lay open turkey so your looking at inside of bird. Lay out prosciutto,then place mashed plantains, pistachios. Turn half of your green onions opposite direction so that you'll see green ends throughout the rolled turkey. Roll your turkey into a roast shape and tie off. Pour marinade over the bird, cover, Roast turkey on rack, rotating pan 180 degrees halfway through roasting, until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the turkey registers 170° let turkey rest abou 15-20 minutes. For the gravy take some of your stock and add the other jar Jabberwocky Smooth Jerk allow to heat through. For the Plantains, Peel & slice blackened plantains, cover with water. Boil until cooked. Drain, mash, add butter, salt, and pepper.this can be done a couple days ahead. Since most of the work happens ahead your not working that hard the day of your dinner. The clean up is very easy! This can be altered to whole chickens also! Jabberwocky Smooth Jerk Happy Thanksgiving! It's almost time to start thinking about thanksgiving dinner! I can tell you this year I will be wrapping turkey in a basket weave of Bacon! That's right, Our beloved BACON! Which also means I will leave out prosciutto. Instead of adding stock to the finishing sauce, I will heat sauce with balsamic glaze. Then I   Happy piggy turkey day!
